SETTING UP IN BUSINESS in France – services available from A La Carte : |
|
| General Overview Unfortunately, France is a country with a lot of red tape and many rules and regulations relating to everything and everyone and of course, setting up in business is no exception! There are different organisations that look after the registration and administration of your business, depending on your desired or envisaged profession, therefore it’s not always easy to know WHERE to start and WHO to contact. The following gives you an idea of what we can do to assist you with the minefield of red tape associated with setting up your business and organising your paperwork to be able to run the business smoothly. |

| Auto Entrepreneur My “hands-on” experience in small business creation and management enables me to give you first class advice and assistance with setting up and managing your individual business or company and I think you’ll find that my knowledge of what is required to manage the administrative side of the French system is second to none. I am used to working with the different registration centres and can assist you with not only the on line declaration but the various paperwork that will follow. I can also help with getting your book-keeping started for you, advising you on what the obligations are with regards to invoicing and payments, assisting you with setting up your own business paperwork and accounts and, if you feel that the accounts side of it is not for you, I can even offer a book-keeping service spread across the initial months, which can be extended as and when you like! |

| Micro Entrepreneur The auto entrepreneur regime is based on the original micro entrepreneur regime – with the two main conditions being a turnover of less than € 32,000 (in 2009) and no VAT. However, registration is required with the relevant authority for the Micro Entrepreneur regime, often tradesmen and craftsmen and women are required to follow a course and there is a cost for both registration and for the course. However, this status does enable the individual business to have a tax allowance of 50% of their turnover, which is not the case for the Auto Entrepreneur, whose tax is calculated on TURNOVER. All the above information indicated in “General Overview” relates to assistance with this business status. |
|
| Other Businesses There are other regimes for individual, sole-trader type businesses and also different types of companies (limited, civil, etc) depending on the business activity. The French system is fairly complex and therefore it is always important to get advice from an accountant or the registration centre for your envisaged profession before choosing your business set-up. We can act as intermediary in this respect and can carry out the preliminary research on your behalf. A La Carte can accompany you with any type of business creation and follow-up with the French authorities and a fixed fee for each type of business and level of assistance can be agreed – we can be on hand for as much or as little help as you think you require! Client recommendations : “Right from the beginning, Debbie has impressed us with her knowledge and ability to get the answers you need from the French administration faster than the TGV! She has taken off a lot of the burden and worry of dealing with large volumes of paperwork we have received from various bodies relating to setting up a new business. She has an “open door” policy and always makes us feel welcome even if we need to see her at short notice.” Tamsin & James Allsebrook, Small Weddings & Gîtes, Charente
“Dear Debbie, just a quick word to express my gratitude for the assistance you have given me over the past 6 months. Being able to count upon the back-up you provide has given me leave to concentrate on building up my clientele base and not having to worry about dealing with the administration. My idea of heaven would be to have you on a roll-over 12-month basis to look after all the nuts and bolts, leaving me free to do the work I enjoy.” Paul Richfield, Vintage Car Repairs, Charente |
